After working in the US Senate for Bob Kerrey in Washington DC, moved to Nevada to work with The Nature Conservancy for 8 years. Moved to Berkeley, California in 2000 as Director of The Nature Conservancy's California Program. Since then have been Director of Audubon California and Senior Policy Advisor for Conservation Strategy Group. Now working as a consultant supporting Outdoor Afro, the Wildlands Conservancy, the Open Space Institute and other clients. Married with four adult children in a blended family. Enjoying traveling, reading, politics, birding, and aspiring to retire at some point!
