Bob & Donna (Keith) Baldwin: Bellevue Senior High School, Class of 1968

Bob and I have been married for 55 years. Our love story began as high school sweethearts at Bellevue Senior High School. Bob has lived in Bellevue his entire life and I was a military ‘brat’. We began dating the beginning of our senior year and then graduated in 1968.

Bob went to Kearney State College and I went to work as a secretary for an insurance company for 1 year in Omaha. We got married in December of 1969 (at just 19 years old) and then I moved to Kearney. We eventually moved back to Bellevue after Bob’s sophomore year of college.

Bob graduated from UNO with a degree in Industrial Technology and retired from Douglas County Engineering in 2013. I eventually became the secretary at Twin Ridge Elementary and retired from BPS in 2004 after 17 years.

We have three children who are all Bellevue East graduates. Lisa Keene (class of ‘89), Becky Baldwin (class of ‘94), and Joey Baldwin (class of ‘98). Lisa is an Instructional Coach/Teacher at Bellevue Elementary School; Becky is a Special Education Teacher at Birchcrest Elementaty School; Joey is the Men’s Golf Coach at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

We have seven grandchildren, five of which graduated from Bellevue East. We also have four (soon to be five) great grandchildren. Our granddaughter, Allie, is a 2013 graduate of Bellevue East and currently teaches 4th grade at Leonard Lawrence.

We are thankful that our love story began at Bellevue High and that our family roots continue to positively impact Bellevue Public Schools.
