Brian was a senior at Bellevue East, when I was a freshman.We definitely did not run in the same crowds, but I knew him at the time as the very cute senior with an even better very loud car! A 1976 Chevy Nova to be exact. Brian was voted "Best Looking" in the class of 1991! Ha!

Now fast forward to 2002. Some girls meet the love of their life in high school, some in college, some at work, some through friends, really it could be anywhere. For me it was at Twin Ridge Elementary School. The BPS school I now have worked at for the last 27 years.

One day I was at work and this young man walks into school to drop of some medicine for a student. As he is walking out, I very nonchalantly say to our school secretary “man, he is so cute!” I then go on about my business. Well those words “man, he is so cute” ended up going out the school door, into the ears of our secretary’s husband, out of his mouth and into the ears of his best friend Terry, out of Terry’s mouth and into this shy, cute mechanic’s ears. Well Terry is my husband Brian’s dad. Brian was at my school that day dropping off medicine for his step son, whom he was raising by himself along with his two daughters Kaitlyn and Kortney. At that time Kaitlyn was 4 and Kortney was 1 year old.

Now, when I said those words and it got back to Brian and about 4 days later a blind date had been set up. The rest is history! We were married in September of 2002! God knew exactly what he was doing! We raised three wonderful daughters. Two are now married and we currently have one granddaughter with a grandson on the way. We have been so blessed.
