We met in middle school but Scot saw Angi walking the hall with an armload of bags of candy to sell for various school clubs and activities and asked Angi to homecoming in sophomore year at Bellevue West. We didn't know each other well at first and dated a few times that sophomore year. We continued to run into each other at "social gatherings" over the next year. By the time our senior year rolled around, we had gotten to know each other as friends and Scot asked Angi to go to homecoming again. We have been a couple ever since. 

We've been through all of the ups and downs of growing up and building a life and a family together. We've lived in Bellevue that entire journey outside of attending UNL for college. We started in Green Acres mobile home park and now live in Whispering Timbers. Scot is 6 months younger so he likes to say Angi robbed the cradle. We still see a group of people from our class pretty regularly. Angi's been around long enough to know that most of the stories the guys tell are heavily embellished. She's still working on not pointing that out when those stories are told in group settings.

Scot worked in human resources and injury compensation for the post office and recently retired. Angi is an attorney and county commissioner. We have 3 young adult children: Cole is 30, recently married to Hayley and is a public defender, Alexa is 29 and teaches 2nd grade, and Travis is 26 and works at a medical clinic. All three kids attended Bellevue schools and graduated from Bellevue West. We are strong supporters of Bellevue Public Schools. We feel pretty blessed to have a close family both immediate and extended, and good solid friends many of them attended Bellevue Public Schools.
